But for all of you left here to miss her, we are so very sorry. Life will be different without her; it goes on, but in a different context. She put up a heck of a fight though, and you should all be so proud of her. You will have many stories and memories to share with those two little girls-they should know how talented Grandma was at the sewing machine, and what a determined soul she was when dealing with adversity. Bless you in these days and weeks ahead. ~ Jason and Vonda Hamill Milesville (2/11/2011)

  • You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she's gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Delia had such a contagious smile. May she rest in peace and may the grace of God be with you during this difficult time. May He help guide you along this unfair path in life.

I believe her life was like the fabric and quilts she was so knowledgeable about. Each piece different but fit in some where in the plan "quilt" of life. She was able to make every piece fit and look beautiful where it was placed. She searched for the right piece and always found it. The same was true of her family and friends she fitted all of them in her life somewhere special. She will be missed for sure. It was a pleasure to know her. She leaves a wonderful message for all of us in how to live each day and just keep on doing what you love no matter what. Her fight was a long one and she never quit fighting.
