Bill was born on December 31, 1963, in Virginia, Minnesota to Ellen (Schumacher) and Kenneth Gibson. He grew up in Britt and attended school in Buhl where he graduated from Buhl High School in 1981. He attended a two year vo-tech school for welding.

Bill worked various jobs in Minnesota before moving to Wall in 2011. While in Wall he helped out on Glenn’s farm-ranch north of Wall until working for the Cactus Café & Lounge in 2015.

Bill loved animals and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Ellen and Duane Johnson of Cook, Minnesota; five brothers, Glenn Gibson of Wall; Allen (Joleen) Gibson of Britt, MN; Rory (Sharon) Gibson of Bear River, MN; Jody (Arlene) Gibson of Cook, MN; and Mike Gibson of Park Rapids, MN; two sisters, Shari (Darrin) Penoncello of Britt, MN, and Lisa (Jeff) Gabel of Britt, MN; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Gibson.

Memorial services will be held in Minnesota at a later date.
