In memory of

Joseph Allen

of Hot Springs, South Dakota, formerly of Rapid City, died on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital at the age of 51

Joseph Perry Allen was born December 14, 1964, in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, the son of Wesley and Barbara (Ainslie) Allen. He grew up in Buffalo Gap and graduated from Rapid City Central High School.

As a young man he worked at Black Hills Works as a driver taking clients back and forth to work at Ellsworth Air Force Base. Due to health reasons, he retired in 2010.

Joseph was united in marriage to Amanda L. Fredericksen on October 25, 2013. They continued to live in Rapid City until moving to Hot Springs on June 8, 2016, where he has since resided.

Joe loved going to the car races, fishing, watching cartoons and especially spending time with his niece and nephew.

Survivors include his wife Amanda Allen of Rapid City; his nephew Charles Joseph "CJ" Allen of Tucson, Arizona; his niece Tyanne Crimson Hill of Douglas, Wyoming; his step-mother, Linda Allen of Glenrock, Wyoming; aunt and uncles, George and Kay Ainslie of Philip; Mary Ellen and Patrick Hart of Rapid City; Rita Ainslie of Sacramento, California; Regina Ainslie of Meridian, Idaho; Luella Hicks of Buffalo Gap; and Larry and Kay Allen of Bremerton, Washington; several cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Rosanna Marie Brandenburg.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, at the First Wesleyan Church located at 202 E. St. Francis St. in Rapid City.

Interment will follow the services at the Buffalo Gap Cemetery in Buffalo Gap.
