Our thoughts and Prayers to the Families
~ Ralph & Cathy Fiedler Sturgis, SD (12/30/2019)
Chuck was a good neighbor - always had one of the nicest yards in town! He and I had a shared interest in motorcycles and he had many stories that he shared with me about his adventures over the years. And he was also an amazing woodworker!! I was able to see some of his projects - things he restored for people - and they were just beautiful!! Chuck was a good man - stood for what he believed in - and I wish I would have spent more time visiting with him and getting to know him better. I will miss him. Our neighborhood will miss him.

So sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. He beautifully restored a few pieces of furniture for me. One was a table my Dad made in high school, the other was my Grandma's drop leaf table. Both meant a lot to me and Chuck did an amazing job. He was a good man and leaves this world a better place.

I enjoyed visiting with Chuck! He was always so kind, optimistic and 'on the move' doing something. He and Etta had me come do a little staining on their home a few springs ago and they had me come in for a lunch of meatloaf and baked potatoes. We had such a good visit! I enjoyed it very much. Bless his heart. Prayers for Etta-you were quite a pair!

I had so much fun visiting with Mr. Chuck when he came to the nursing home to see Miss Etta. He had the best smile!

To Etta and to Chuck's family and friends,
Chuck was always a sweet and respectful person whenever we would meet. He shared his meat smoking tips with me as well as bringing us brisket occasionally! He will definitely be missed in this community!
Blessed Be, Chuck!

I got to know Chuck when his lady love Etta moved into our nursing home. He was always sitting with her in the lobby every morning when I came to work and when I left. He religiously came and visited Etta two or three times daily and always had a smile and friendly greeting and salutation. I will miss that smile and warm greeting. Keep your memories close as this will give your heart a warm felling when thinking on this man.

I have missed seeing my good friend Chuck and Etta Maude. They came to Jigger's Restaurant when I owned that and we developed a wonderful friendship.. They would come over so they could have a treat which was our Carmel Rolls and have coffee and wonderful conversations together. What a loving man Chuck was. So kind and thoughtful. The family will miss him. God Bless Chuck and all his family.
