A Tribute To My Daughter "Arlys"
Arlys was my first daughter and child in my family. She grew up with 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Arlys was such a good little helper with the chores around the house. She watched over her younger brothers and sisters and was very protective of them. Arlys loved to sew and made many of her own children's clothes. One of my fondest memories over the years is when I sent Arlys and Shirley to a neighbor to get tin snips. Arlys sat Shirley down in the middle of the road and cut off one of her braids.
There were so many family gatherings that will never be forgotten. I am sad that I never got to say "good-bye". Arlys is in good hands. She is with her daughter Marilyn, her father Bud, and brothers Gene and Zip. They are probably telling stories about the family and playing cards. I will never forget the love that I feel for "Arlys" and my entire family.
Play a game of pitch for me and don't let the boys or dad win.
Love,
Your Mother
