In memory of

Ruth Albin

of Wall, South Dakota, died on Thursday, November 18, 1999 at the Philip Nursing Home in Philip at the age of 99

Ruth M. Kitterman was born April 5, 1900, in Houstonia, Missouri, the daughter of John and Cora (Wade) Kitterman.

In 1905, she moved with her parents to Eastern South Dakota, and in 1907 to the Wall, South Dakota, area.  She grew up there and received her education at the Cedar Butte rural school.

Ruth was united in marriage to Walter Lee Albin on February 14, 1918, at Rapid City, South Dakota.

They farmed nine and one-half miles northwest of Wall until 1940 when they moved to a farm five and one-half miles north of Wall.  In 1949, they moved into Wall where she continued to make her home until moving into the Philip Nursing Home on September 5, 1996.

Her husband, Walter Lee, preceded her in death on November 30, 1984.

Ruth was a member of the Evangelical Free Bible Church of Wall and among her many hobbies was quilt making.

Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Robert Albin and his wife, Arlene, of Wall; two daughters, Iva Eisenbraun of Creighton and Beulah Jones of Wall; five grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Lerrill Hinman of Wall; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Walter Lee Albin, she was preceded in death by one son, Dale Albin; one daughter, Gladys Hinman; two sons-in-law, Reinhold Eisenbraun and Bruce Jones; her parents; three brothers and a sister.

A memorial has been established.
