In memory of

Peggy Jo Otto

of Lemmon, South Dakota, died on Saturday, January 25, 1997 at the Five County Hospital in Lemmon at the age of 41

Peggy Jo Hull was born March 8, 1955, at Pierre, South Dakota, the daughter of Harold and Bonnie (Schilling) Hull.

She grew up in Midland, South Dakota, where she graduated from Midland High School in 1973.  After graduating, Peggy Jo traveled with a chorus group throughout Europe.

Peggy Jo attended Green Beauty College in Rapid City, where she became a beautician.  After receiving her licenses, she became an instructor at the Green Beauty College for several years.  Later she worked at various beauty salons in the Rapid City area.

Peggy Jo was united in marriage to Mark Otto on March 8, 1980, at Billings, Montana.

They made their home in Billings for nine months prior to moving to Lemmon, South Dakota, where they have since resided.

While in Lemmon, Peggy Jo worked at various jobs, including as a beautician and a bartender until 1990 when she became a full-time mother to her son, Devin Joe, and a caregiver for her nephews, Joshua Mullins.

In the summer of 1996, Peggy Jo and her sister, Nancy, fulfilled a two year dream of owning and operating a business known as KJ's Drive In.

Peggy Jo was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Midland and was a member of a bowling league in Lemmon.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Mark Otto of Lemmon; a son, Devin Joe Otto of Lemmon; her mother, Bonnie Abel of Midland; two sisters, Frienda Hull of Mesa, Arizona, and Nancy Mullins of Lemmon; a nephew, Joshua Mullins of Lemmon; her step-grandmother, Myrna Abel of Midland; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Peggy Jo was preceded in death by a son, Dustin Otto, in infancy; her father, Harold Hull; her step-father, Robert Abel; her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Carol Schilling; her paternal grandparents, Claude and Edyth Hull; and her step-grandfather, Wilmer Abel.

A memorial is established.
