In memory of

Tressie Williams

of Philip, South Dakota, died on Saturday, June 27, 1987 at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip at the age of 77

Tressie Manor, daughter of Owen Thomas "O.T." and Mary (Lyle) Manor, was born June 2, 1910, on her parents' homestead located northwest of Milesville, South Dakota.

She grew up in the Milesville area where she attended rural school before attending Philip High School.

Tressie was united in marriage to Edgar H. Williams on July 8, 1928, at Kadoka, South Dakota.  They farmed and ranched Edgar's parents' homestead located 16 miles northeast of Philip.  Later they purchased the originial homestead and added more land, which they farmed and ranched until retiring and moving into Philip in 1973.

Edgar preceded her in death on September 25, 1985.  Tressie continued to make her home in Philip.

Tressie was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Ruth Esther Circle of the church, the Bad River Senior Citizens Center, and the Butte Viewed Club, all of Philip.

Grateful for having shared her life are her nephew, whom she rasied, Dick Williams, and his wife, Kay, and their children, Paul, Tina, Mark, Ross, and Kari Williams; several other nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Edgar, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Alvin Manor, and one sister, Eldora Horsley.
