In memory of

Terry Schofield

of Midland, South Dakota, died on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at his residence in Midland at the age of 65

Terry Lee Schofield was born July 29, 1950, in the Midland Hospital to Alfred and Anna (Larsen) Schofield. He grew up in Midland and graduated from the Midland High School in May 1968. Terry attended Denver Automotive School.

Terry was united in marriage to Linda Heller on August 11, 1973, in Lead, and have lived on the same farm for 42 years. They later started a family and had six children, Rick, Steven, Ted, Andy, Kristina, and CJ.
Terry loved his children and grandchildren, who were all his #1 pride and joy. He had a model A car which he painted last year and was very proud of it. Working on cars was one of his passions, the older the car the better. He really enjoyed watching his favorite flower, the hollyhock, grow. He also enjoyed watching the Vikings play (or cussing them out) or any football game. He was also the hardest person to get away from once you started visiting because "Do you remember when... or "That happened in... Terry would do anything for anybody and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Linda, of Midland; six children and fifteen grandchildren: Rick (Lorrie) Schofield and their children Zayne, Danyelle, and Kamryn; Steven (Bridget) Schofield and their children Elizabeth and Greyson; Ted (Michele) Schofield and their children Kaitlyn, Cara, Shelby, and Tanner; Andy (Kerri) Schofield and their children Don, Austin, and Allie; Kristina and Trent Manecke her children Brianna and Rilyn; and CJ and Dustin Vollmer and their daughter Addalyn; one sister Carol (Roy) Hunt of Midland; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Wilma Saucerman

  • I am so sorry for your loss. Although we haven't been in contact much over the years, Terry was a part of many wonderful memories of my school years and our growing up in Midland.
