In memory of

Theresa Miller

of Philip, South Dakota, died on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip at the age of 61

Theresa Lee Bowen was born February 5, 1955, in Quinn, South Dakota, the daughter of Dale and Juanita (Elvert) Bowen. She attended school in Philip and graduated from Philip High School in 1973.

Theresa was united in marriage to Roy Miller on May 9, 1985, in Philip.

She worked at various jobs in both Philip and Kadoka including Scotchman’s, Corky’s Super Valu, the meat locker, and Jigger’s Restaurant to name a few.

Theresa was the happiest when she was around her grandkids. She especially liked to go fishing and loved going to every event and sporting activity that her kids and grandkids were in. She also would go hunting but refused to shoot any animals.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Roy Miller of Philip; sons, Jeremy of Oak Harbor, Washington, Ryan (Shawna) of Hitchcock, South Dakota, and Tim of Dubuque, Iowa; brother, Charles (Linda) Bowen of Rapid City; sisters, Dorothy (Philip) Park of Tonapah, Arizona, Vickie (Randy) White of Alvin, Texas, Brenda Bowen of Decatur, Iowa, Connie (Clyde) Schlim of Philip, and Marla (Randy) Boyd of Philip; many grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert “Bob” Bowen.

A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016, at the Rush Funeral Home in Philip.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the United Church in Philip with Pastor Kathy Chesney officiating.
