In memory of

Cherie Kumm

of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, died on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the Hospice Cottage in Luverne, Minnesota at the age of 66

Cherie Kumm was born, along with her twin brother Terry, on September 2, 1957, to Rudolph and Alice (Bumann) Kumm. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Osmond, Nebraska. Cherie grew up in McLean and attended grade school there. She graduated from Randolph High School. Cherie moved to Norfolk and worked for Sherwoods Medical, Goodyear, Service Master and Menards. Cherie moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas and worked at the Little Debbie's Bakery. She moved back to Norfolk to help take care of her sister Ruth. She then moved back to Siloam Springs, Arkansas and lived there until 2022, she moved to Sioux Falls, SD. From there she moved to LuVerne, Minnesota until her death. Cherie was so outgoing and will be missed.

Leaving to mourn her passing are her brothers, Wayne, Larry and Terry; nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding her in death was her parents, sisters and spouses, Ruth (Jim) Lehman; Ethel (Wesley) McGinnis; sister-in-law Lynda Kumm, niece Regina Knudsen, and nephew Kenneth McGinnis.

Cherie was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Alice; and two sisters Ruth Lehman and Ethel McGinnis.

Celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. Rev. Eric Gradberg will be officiating the service. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. Cards and memorials may be sent to P.O. Box 321 Murdo, SD 57559.
