In memory of

Medore Otto

of Wall, South Dakota, died on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his home in Wall at the age of 26

Medore Samuel Otto was born June 3, 1995, the son of Bart and Jo (Hamm) Otto. He grew up in Hot Springs, Colorado, and Wyoming, and was homeschooled throughout his education. Medore loved basketball, and would spend hours playing it as a kid, and his favorite team was the Miami Heat with LeBron James.

After his schooling, he moved to Wall at the age of 18, and began working at Wall Drug. It was at this time he met his life partner, Miranda Creviston, and had two children Neveah and Mateo. They made their home in Wall and later Medore worked as a cook at the Cactus Restaurant along with Subway.

Medore was always very helpful and respectful, both to family and to co-workers. He had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone.

Survivors include his children and their mother Miranda of Wall; his parents Bart and Jo Otto of Rapid City; his siblings, Bill Otto (Carol) and their sons Liam, Ryder, and Judah of Franklin, Tennessee, his sister-in-law Starla Otto Konechne (Bryan) and their children Beverly, Kaelyn, and Ava of Rapid City, Jessica Otto and her son Corbin, Sarah King (Justin) and their children Lorelai and Caedmon of Hermosa; Matthew Otto of Gillette, Wyoming; Joseph Otto of Rapid City; Peter Otto of Rapid City; Garrett Otto of Rapid City; and Catherine Otto of Rapid City; Clayton Otto of Springfield; and Josiah Otto of Sioux Falls; his maternal grandmother Loy Hamm of Wall; his uncle Bill and Kathy Hamm of Olathe, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his brother Joshua Otto; his maternal grandfather Glenn Hamm; his paternal grandparents Charles and Ruth Otto; his aunt Patricia Bowman.

Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, all at the Wall Community Center.

Interment will be at the Wall Cemetery.
