Edgar G. Schreiberof Quinn, South Dakota, died on Monday, August 3, 1998

Edgar G. Schreiber was born January 5, 1909, on a farm northeast of Quinn, the son of Henry and Anna (Pippert) Schreiber.
He grew up on the farm and attended Beadle Country School in that area. As a young man, he farmed with his parents on the family farm.
Edgar was united in marriage to Anna Kjerstad on August 25, 1932, at Rapid City.
They made their home on a farm-ranch north of Quinn for a short time prior to moving onto their present farm-ranch, northeast of Quinn, in 1938. They continued to reside on the farm-ranch after their retirement in 1994.
Anna preceded him in death on May 1, 1998.
Edgar was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Wall.
Grateful for having shared his life are his three sons, Alvin Schreiber and his wife, Christine, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Elnoris Schreiber of Quinn, and Lawrence Schreiber and his wife, Loretta, of Quinn; two daughters, Rose Sloan and her husband, Dennis, of Rapid City, and Elaine Schreiber of Quinn; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Warren Schreiber of Hinton, Iowa; two sisters, Karoline Pecka of Saratoga, California, and Gertrude Storkel of Stilwell, Kansas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, Anna, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Garrison; a grandson, Boyce Garrison; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Schreiber; his parents; two sisters, Arle Watson and Evangeline Hartman.
A memorial is established.
