Frances E. Zebroski

of Philip, South Dakota, died on Wednesday, March 20, 1991
at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City at the age of 66

Frances E. Weischedel was born October 20, 1924, at Agar, South Dakota, to Fred and Mary (Mikkelsen) Weischedel.

She grew up and received her education in western Sully County, South Dakota.  After graduating from Onida High School, she received her teaching certificate from Northern State Teachers College in Aberdeen.

She taught rural elementary school in western Sully County.

Frances was united in marriage to Raymond Zebroski on December 7, 1946, at Pierre, South Dakota.

They farmed and ranched in Sully County until March of 1956 when they purchased a farm-ranch in Haakon County, South Dakota.

In August of 1966 she moved to Philip.  In 1968 she became employed in the laundry department at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip.  She retired as the laundry supervisor for the hospital and the Philip Nursing Home in October 1989.

She continued to make her home in Philip.

Frances was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Philip.

Grateful for having shared her life are her three sons, Larry Zebroski of Gettysburg, South Dakota, Fred Zebroski of Lander, Wyoming, and Charles Zebroski of Rapid City, South Dakota; four daughters, LaVon (Mrs. Tony) Nemec of Gillette, Wyoming, Peggy (Mrs. Byron) Parsons of Milesville, South Dakota, Cindy (Mrs. Kevin) Pfeifle of Philip, South Dakota, and Christi Zebroski of Rapid City, South Dakota; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; three brothers, Jake Weischedel, Dale Weischedel, and Dan Weischedel, all of Onida, South Dakota; two sisters, Olive (Mrs. John) Silbaugh and Margaret (Mrs. Herman) Menninger, both of Onida, South Dakota; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jason "Jake" Pfeifle; her father, Fred Weischedel; and one brother, Howard Weischedel.
