Clay Alan Priceof Philip, South Dakota, died on Thursday, July 30, 1987

Clay Alan Price, son of Charles and Carol (Wilsey) Price, was born September 10, 1961, at Hot Springs, South Dakota.
He grew up on his parents' ranch located northwest of Philip. He receivd his grade school education at the Cheyenne School, a country school near his home, and graduated from Philip High School in 1980.
Clay worked on his parents' ranch and also for neighboring ranches. He was employed in Wyoming in the oil well drilling operations and worked for custom combining crews in South Dakota and neighboring states.
Clay was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Milesville, South Dakota, where he also served as altar boy. He was a former member of 4-H and Boy Scouts, and had received various awards in high school track. He served in National Guards for the Detachment 1, 235th General Supply stationed in Philip for six years, where he also received awards for markmanship. He played softball with the Milesville Ridge Runners
Clay was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed reading, watching car races, and rodeos.
Very grateful for having shared his life and his love are his parents, Charles and Carol Price of Philip; his sister, Mrs. Mike (Char) Bryan of Philip; two nieces, Alyssa and Michaela Bryan of Philip; several aunts and uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Clay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Ella Price, and Frank and Nellie Wilsey.
