Caroline V. Lampertof Wall, South Dakota, died on Thursday, October 15, 2015

Caroline Virginia Heitkam was born September 18, 1940, in Washington, DC, the daughter of George and Agnes Heitkam. She grew up in the DC area, where she received her education. In her younger years, she spent a lot of her time riding horses. She lived in various places throughout her life, working at a variety of different places. In 2003, she moved to Sioux Falls where she remained until moving to Wall in 2007, where she has since resided.
While in Wall, she worked at the Cactus Café and Lounge, and cleaned the Post Office at night. She enjoyed taking care of her variety of plants and flowers.
Survivors include her five children Paul Miller of Bluffton, South Carolina; Sherry Valburg of Bluffton; Douglas Miller of Buford; Hunter “Bard” Eyre of Tom-River, New Jersey; and Rebecca Enriquez of Wall; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers Jack, George and Bob Heitkam.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24 at the Rush Funeral Home in Wall.
