Roan Iron Horseof Wanblee, South Dakota, died on Thursday, August 19, 2021

Roan had a big heart.... did you see the size of him? And when he came into this world to look like an old soul. He was all wrinkles, his ears were pointed, and he looked like Dobby from Harry Potter, so I called him “Dobby”. My Mom said, “Oh he's your doobie! LOL But then he filled out and looked like my Grandpa Jimmy.” I held them up and said, “Grandpa, is that you? He just smiled and nodded his head.” Well Grandpa, if I have to take care of you this time around no more wine he just smiled. I am grateful for the times we had together and I appreciate him choosing me as his mom.
My poor guy loved football and really tried hard at basketball. He loved anime and would sit and talk with me about who he was, but he was watching who the characters were and how they get their powers. He showed me clips and talked me into buying him a sword, which he named “the guardian”. I hope the guardian is helping him to guard us who are still living on this earth. Poor guy, my Roni oh bologna, had a long hard battle with depression, and he lost. He wanted to help other teens who needed help and understood their pain and what they were going through. He wanted to help and ease their pain.
Survivors include his parents Trudine Moves Camp and Jarrod Iron Horse; sisters Kimberly Wo'kpe WiWita; brothers Rowdy Racen; sisters from another mother: Nita, Eileen, Lema, Aria, Selena, Jordana, Lolli, White Dove, Ashley, Jeanette, Kayla, Emily, and Cindy; his brothers from another mother: Samuel Moves Camp, Bubba James, Antwan, Cryin, Ryan, Oscar, Sam Craven, Jaron, Andrew Iron Horse, Cam'ron, Jermaine, Jimmy, Satan Gal, and Damon; grandparents Sam, Louie, Michael, Germaine Moves Camp, Judy New Holy, and Truly New Holy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by, on his mother's side: Eileen Moves Camp, Leo Edward Star, Vernon Moves Camp, and Sharron New Holy; on his father’s side: Grandmas La Vina Between Lodges, Darlene Mesteth, Ramona Randall Matilda Little Killer, Grandpa's Wilbur Between Lodges, Wayne Between Lodges, Marvin Iron Horse, Nelson Mesteth, Carl Meat, Dugan Little Killer, and Lawrence Randall; uncles: James Iron Horse, Victor Iron Horse, Leon Toggy Little Killer, Anties Arvella, and Babe Iron Horse; cousin Owen Herrera; great-grandparents Paul Between Lodges and Mary Between Lodges.
Wake services begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, and continue through Sunday, September 5, at the TNT Building in Wanblee.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 6, at the TNT Building in Wanblee.
