Paul Norman Harvey was born on December 30, 1944 to Lynn and Helen (Hansen) Harvey. He was baptized and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Interior. Paul attended Interior Elementary and graduated from Interior High School in 1963. He attended one and a half years of college at Black Hills State University in Spearfish. It was during this time he met Linda Johnsonberg in Rapid City.
Paul enlisted in the Army National Guard Ready Reserve Program in 1966. He completed Basic Training in El Paso, Texas. After Basic he came back to Interior and ran cattle at different places.
Paul married Linda in 1969 and to this union four children were born, Kristin Neugebauer (Greg), Tricia Uhlir (Bart), Wendy Suhn (Todd), and Dustin Harvey (Renee).
After they were married, Paul and Linda lived in Milesville, SD where he worked as a ranch hand for a short while. When Paul’s dad had a heart attack he was called back to Interior to run the old Cowboy Corner Grocery. When a small ranch came available for him to purchase, he sold the store and bought his ranch that he loved so much.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Linda; his four children; his grandkids, Mikahla and Wacey Ferguson, Jace, Jamie, and Taylor Neugebauer, Peyton, Gage, and Jordan Uhlir, Slate and Zoey Suhn, Hinsley, Hatlynn, Hartlee, and Haislon Harvey; his sister, Janet Mattson; three nephews, John and James Mattson and Matt Harvey.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donald, nephew Darrin, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
