Dianne Stotts

of Murdo, South Dakota, died on Monday, June 5, 2017
at Avera Maryhouse in Pierre at the age of 66

Dianne Renee (Talley) Stotts was born on February 26, 1951 in Sturgis, SD, the youngest child of Clayton and Edith (Snyder) Talley. She spent her early childhood years in Stoneville, SD. They moved to Fruitdale, SD where she attended schooling while living on a nearby ranch. She graduated in 1969 from Belle Fourche High School and proceeded on to National American University for business.

Along the way she married Jim Pelle, adding two daughters to the family while starting their life in Rapid City. They moved to Murdo in 1978. She later married Raymond Stotts of Okaton, SD, adding his two children to the family as well as two more of their own.

Her loves in life varied, but above all, her love for her family was strongest. An avid gardener, her flowers brought joy, especially sunflowers. Growing up on a ranch her love of animals continued strong as well, as she was always caring for one or more pets. Her favorite pastime was going to rummage sales and second-hand shops looking for bargains.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; three daughters, Stephanie (Jim) Poppen of Pierre, SD, Stacey (Kenny) Booth of Vivian, SD, and Carrie (John) Kerns of Mesa, AZ; three sons, Jeremey (Kirsten) of Rhame, ND, Rick of Murdo, SD, and Josh Stotts of Tuscon, AZ; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley (Fred) Sanders of Rio Rancho, NM; and one brother, Larry (Janet) Talley of Rapid City, SD.

She was preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, father-in-law, Harold and many aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to funeral service.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. CDT on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Murdo with Pastor Ray Greenseth officiating.

Interment will be at the Murdo Cemetery.
