Bonnie Enders

of Kadoka, South Dakota, died on Friday, November 12, 2021
at the Kadoka Nursing Home at the age of 96

Bonnie Jean McRae was born October 6, 1925, in Lucas, South Dakota the daughter of Edward and Nellie (Fish) McRae. She grew up on the farm northeast of Kadoka and attended grade school at South Creek. Bonnie graduated from Kadoka High School in 1943.

She was united in marriage to Earl Enders on January 9, 1946, in Philip, and to this union were born: Lorraine, Douglas, Robert, Beverly, Wesley, Charles, and Jeffrey. During her lifetime she worked at the Pearl Hotel, Dakota Hotel, Tourist Café, Cedar Pass Lodge, and was a housekeeper for 27 years at the Sundowner Motel in Kadoka.

Bonnie loved to sew, crochet, quilt, and do crafts and puzzles. She was always busy with something.

Survivors include two daughters Lorraine Lineback of Fairfield, Washington and Beverly Dutton of Cope, Colorado; four sons: Robert (Linda) Enders of Hermosa, Wes (Joan) Enders, Chuck (Donna) Enders, and Jeffrey (Kerri) Enders all of Kadoka; 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law Esther Kay Enders of Glenrock, Wyoming; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl on July 20, 1991; her parents; son Doug Enders on November 30, 2018; a great-grandson Kruse William; four sisters Helen "Muree" Struble, Darlene (Dick) Schofield, Rachel (Milo) Brookens, and Gladys Wagner; an infant brother George Edward McRae; two brothers-in-law Les Struble and Ralph Wagner; and two sons-in-law Virgil Lineback and Gary Dutton.

A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 10, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kadoka.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kadoka with Pastor Marcia Brennan officiating.

Interment will follow at the Kadoka Cemetery.
