Christy Anne (Greiner) Guerra was born July 25, 1978, in Pierre, South Dakota to parents William Jerome Greiner and Terry Anne (Stark) Greiner and was the second of three children. Christy was a soft-spoken presence with a big personality. She dearly loved the animals she grew up with, she was a tremendous artist, a talented musician, and a fierce athlete. After high school, Christy enlisted in the Air Force which took her to Texas, Mississippi, and Arizona. After her time in the service, she moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to her sister, Shelly. Christy made friends wherever she went and her smile could light up a room. She was a great conversationalist and a welcoming hostess who could create magnificent meals. Christy spent the last 20 years in Oklahoma City, raising her son Dylan, working, and creating lifelong friendships.
Christy is survived by her son Dylan Jordan of Oklahoma City; her mother Terry Greiner of Wall, SD; her sisters; Shelly Stanley of Pierre, SD and Amanda Brodnax (Billy) of Highlands Ranch, CO; nieces and nephews: Alexis and Julian Guild and Sasha and Jaxon Stanley (Shelly), and Annelise Twist (Amanda); as well as many special friends made through the years.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Greiner; paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather; an aunt, Wendy (Greiner) Ryno; and an uncle, Charles Greiner.
A celebration a life gathering will be held from 2-4 p.m. Friday, November 26, in the United Methodist Church basement in Wall, South Dakota.
Interment with military honors at Black Hills National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
