Ann Jolene “Anne Jo” (Holsether) Clark was born December 5, 1966 in Viborg, SD to Charles Holsether and Lucille (Hamann) Holsether. She served her community in many different fashions working with patrons at Wall Drug, Clark’s Food Center, the Pennington County Courant, and the Badland’s Grille & Saloon. She volunteered her time helping the Wall Fire Department and the Wall Celebration Committee. No matter the function or the place she always greeted others with a friendly smile.

Anne Jo and Jeff Clark were united in marriage May 27, 1994 at the First Lutheran Church of Wall. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed watching them grow and hearing about all their daily adventures.

Her calming presence and genuine hugs were something that will leave an everlasting impression. Throughout her life she showed perseverance and courage to overcome whatever was thrown her way. Anne Jo’s ever-present positive attitude kept her always looking towards a new day. Up until her last moment she was always determined to fight the fight.

What a beautiful picture to remember Anne Jo by! I’m so very sorry for your loss. I enjoyed helping to care for her these past few months, her positive attitude & her determination were so inspiring. We laughed a lot, we got to know each other & I enjoyed the short friendship that we built! I will miss her smile & her cheerful “Come In” when I’d get to the house. She was so loved by so many people & she will be missed by each and every one of us! Keep your wonderful & happy memories close to your heart, they will help you thru the days & weeks ahead. May God’s peace be with you all.
