Lawrence Dale Burke passed away the morning of Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the age of 91.
Lawrence was born November 23, 1934. He lived for more than five decades in the Elm Springs, South Dakota area.
Survivors include both of his children; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Doris in 2009 and all five of his siblings.
Funeral arrangements are planned for later this spring to be held in Elm Springs.

Lawrence was a board member when I worked at West River Electric. He was a very kind, humble man who was always a good supporter of the members and employees. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Lawrence was a great friend and neighbor, after his retirement from farming, he worked with Mary Kay and the other people from Elm Springs. He was always a joy when they shared the ride to Wasta.
