Jeff Clark

of Wall, South Dakota, died on Monday, April 14, 2025
at his home in Wall at the age of 68

Jeffrey L. Clark was born April 14, 1957, in Quinn, South Dakota, the oldest of three children born to William J. and Kathryn (Sieler) Clark. He grew up in Peno Basin and attended the Rickards School and Big White School before attending Wall High School, graduating in 1975. He then attended South Dakota State University graduating with a Bachelors Degree majoring in Mechanized Agriculture in 1982.

He was united in marriage to Jill Kjerstad on May 22, 1982, in Wall. They made their home in the Wall area where Jeff worked on the farm-ranch, and were blessed with two daughters Abbie and Laney.

Shortly after his father’s death in 1992, Jeff began working for the City of Wall as the Public Works Director.

Jeff was united in marriage to Anne Jo Holsether on May 27th, 1994, at the First Lutheran Church in Wall, and to this union they were blessed with a son Tyrel. They made their home in Wall, and after his time at the City of Wall, he began working at Croell’s Redi Mix in Rapid City on April 22, 2013, a position he held until his death.

Jeff was a life-long member of the First Lutheran Church; the Wall Volunteer Fire Department, and the East Pennington Soil Conservation District.

Jeff thoroughly enjoyed his grandkids, cats and dogs, and gardening. Jeff was selfless, kind, and extremely caring. He will be missed by his family and friends, and would do anything for his kids, and everything for his grandchildren.

Survivors include three children Abbie Eisenbraun of Rapid City, Laney (Joshua) Holtquist of Rapid City, and Tyrel (Kiara) Clark of Hot Springs; two step-children Ryan (Skye) Holsether of Philip, and Taunia (Jason) Vande Stouwe of Inwood, Iowa; five grandchildren Jessica, Ethan, Karsyn, Natalie, and Aspyn; five step-grandchildren Hadlee, Korbin, Ridge, Wrenly and Rory; his mother Kathy Clark-Furrey of Wall; one sister Laurie Hindman and her husband Mark of Wall; and one brother Randy Clark of Quinn; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his wife Anne Jo on August 19, 2023, and his father William J. Clark.
