Diana Stewart was born November 17, 1958, in Pierre, SD to Kenneth Carpenter and Kathryn (Nelson) Drageset. Diana graduated from Philip High School in 1977. She married her best friend and the love of her life on March 10, 1978. To this union they had three children: Kellie, Beau and Jeb. They made their home in Philip.
Diana fought the fight always with a positive attitude up to the end.
Diana loved spending time with Richard, hunting, fishing, camping, and traveling. She loved to cook and besides cooking for family and friends she cooked at several restaurants over the years. She managed the Sale Barn Cafe for 9 years and enjoyed visiting with her customers. Her last job was cooking for the residents at the Silver Leaf in Philip. Diana was a hard worker who cared for her family.
Diana loved to crochet and make blankets for her family. Spending time with her grandkids made her happy, and she was very proud of them all. Diana was loved by her family and will be missed immensely.
Diana was a confirmed member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Her Grandma Marky instilled in her the faith of God.
Survivors include her husband Richard Stewart of Philip; daughter Kellie (Mark) Halvorson and their daughter Kadence of Mitchell; sons; Beau (Jamie) Stewart and their children, Cadence, Gavin, Wyatt, Bella of Beresford; Jeb (Gabby) Stewart and their son Waylon of Harrisburg; two sisters she cherished Sandy (Doug) Slovek of Broadus, MT and Cathy (Ralph) Fiedler of Sturgis; two nieces Lynette (Don) Klumb (Caitlin, Tessa, Hannah) and Sherry (Eric) Hanson (Elsie and Loman) all of Spearfish; one nephew Casey (Raevyn) Slovek (Lane, Dempsee and Everleigh) of Broadus, MT; sister-in-law Tina (Jim) Lynn of Waco, TX; brother-in-law Steven (Beth) Stewart of WY; special Uncle Justin and Aunt Joyce Wheeler and family of Philip; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Kenny, mother Katy, stepdad Orlando Drageset, a very special nephew Michael Slovek, her grandparents Tex and Marky Meek, who were very special to her, and Shorty and Laura Nelson, and in-laws Dugan and Charmaine Stewart who meant a lot to her.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services at the American Legion Hall.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, at the American Legion Hall in Philip with Pastor Kathy Chesney officiating.
Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Philip.
