Ray Royer

of Black Hawk, South Dakota, died on Sunday, August 10, 2025
at his home in Black Hawk at the age of 63

Survivors include son Jeremy (Danielle) of Sioux Falls; grandchildren: Jayda and Cutler (who will greatly miss their grandpa); sister Cindy (Terry) Nelson of Britton; nephews Dustin Nelson of Menomonie, WI, and Robert Nelson of Britton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Bonnie Royer; brother Robert "Bobby" Royer; and his uncle Bob Tuning.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Rush Funeral Home in Philip.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Masonic Cemetery in Philip with Pastor Kathy Chesney officiating.

Cool Ray, It started about 50 years ago with giving you and Charlie Z a ride in my Roadrunner. Then playing basketball at Scotchman with you and watching you play high school basketball. Basketball and softball games for many years. The trip to Denver to see the Rolling Stones. To racing cars and just cruising. The time we ran out of money at the gentlemen's club. When we were late for a softball tournament game(my fault). And just going out and having a good time! Thanks for the memories I will miss you. Jeremy and Cindy so sorry for your loss. Hopper
