T’Ailani Reign Ashley Wounded Head was born July 23, 2023 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Teija Ashley and Joseph Wounded Head.
Survivors include her parents Teija Ashley and Joseph Wounded Head; grandparents Shauncina (Howard) Ashley, Charmaine Wounded Head; great-grandparents Frances Ashley, Julia Randall, Anita Wounded Head; aunts: Hailey, Harley, Haidyn, and Nikki Ashley, Tyra Fugate, Chloe, Markia, and Markayla Wounded Head; uncles: Caleb and John Wounded Head; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Rance Blue Legs, Cleveland "Joey" Wounded Head, and Richard "Rico" Ashley; great-grandfathers: Melferd Ashley, Gary Blue Legs, Sr., Delmar Wounded Head, and David Wounded Head; great-grandmother Lynell Morrison; great-great-grandparents Joe and Marie Randall; Wallace and Melissa Blue Legs; Benjamin and Gertie Sitting Up, and Joseph and Minnie (Little Chief) Ashley; cousins: Ay'vreigh Ashley Chipps and Presley Bettelyoun; and aunt Hailee Wounded Head.
A two-night wake service will begin at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, October 1 and continue until the funeral service time at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2023, all at the TNT Building in Wanblee.
Burial will follow at Gethsemane Episcopal Cemetery in Wanblee.
